About Cosmic Herald

Independent space & astronomy news for the curious — written for everyone who looks up and wonders, not just rocket scientists.

Founded and published by John Folger. Cosmic Herald is an independent publication and is not affiliated with NASA, ESA, or any space agency.

What we do

We track the missions, discoveries, and launches that matter — from crewed spaceflight and robotic explorers to the science reshaping our picture of the universe and the night sky overhead. Stories publish when news happens, not on a calendar.

Editorial approach

Cosmic Herald's correspondents report from primary sources — agency mission updates from NASA and ESA, peer-reviewed research, observatory and telescope releases, and company announcements. Each article is researched, written, and approved by a named correspondent before publication. Our newsroom uses technology tools to accelerate research and document review; all editorial decisions, factual verification, and final copy are the responsibility of the named author. We don't rewrite other outlets' coverage — we go to the source.
